Very nice console!
The Nintendo Switch is the latest console (at the time of writing at least) and is the very first hybrid console. It may not be as powerful as its competition, but it still brings a lot of innovation with it, allow me to explain.

As I mentioned before, the Switch is a hybrid console. What this means is that you always have the freedom to choose between playing handheld or using the TV. At first glance, this may not seem like a big deal, but it really is, especially when combined with the wide range of games available on the Switch. I'll talk about the games specifically later, but for now, I can already say that it's incredibly convenient and cool that you can play them all handheld. The portability makes a huge difference for me, especially since it often happens that multiple people at home want to use the TV, and the Switch solves that problem. Additionally, you can also take the Switch with you to other places.

Another important aspect of a console is, of course, the controller. The Switch uses Joy-Con, a pair of controllers that can be attached and detached from the console, and can also be used together or separately. They feel surprisingly good in the hands despite being relatively small. Unfortunately, there is one issue: Joy-Con drift; where the joysticks start acting on their own. If you encounter this problem, I recommend purchasing a Pro Controller.

Finally: the games; Nintendo's own games (= first party) are amazing. Just think of Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda: Breath of The Wild, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, ... Furthermore, most third party releases also have a Switch version, and they run smoothly (usually at the cost of slightly worse graphics compared to other consoles, but often not very noticeable), and what makes it even better is that there are also many old Nintendo games available. The downside of being a retro game collector is that you have to keep many consoles connected, so being able to play most of them on the Switch is greatly appreciated.

All in all, the Switch is a good and enjoyable console, not my favorite Nintendo console, but definitely high on the list!
